Cindy was a major reason why I was able to run my marathon’s in 2006 and 2007. Prior to training with her I’d only be able to do 3 miles before feeling knee pain, Afterwards I was able to extend that to 12-15 miles. Critical to those long runs.
Even after I semi retired from running to focus on powerlifting I’d still go to her because she’s got a huge arsenal of exercises and stretches. When I’m working out on my own, I like to keep with those things that are simple and easily executed. That’s my personal style. Yet keeping in touch with Cindy is a great way for me to find my fitness blind spots (my flexibility & conditioning could use work even tho my strength is up)
Another time I had done some reading on kettlebells and remarked how interesting they were. She was the only trainer at crunch (at the time) who was certified on them. Now it seems like everyone’s using them. The key lesson there is that Cindy’s a practitioner herself, is willing to go outside her comfort zone and invests herself in order to find new ways to challenge and motivate her clients.
I could go on and on about how she doesn’t flinch when I made 7am appts, how she uncannily text messaged me to watch my eating, knows when to give praise and yet also be honest about what needs work…but you should just experience it yourself.

The best thing Cindy Lai’s Bootcamp is the energy she brings to the workout. She motivates you to push yourself even when you think you have nothing left in you. Working out with a small number of people really personalizes the experience and gives you confidence to do your very best. I have been attending Cindy Lai Fitness Boot Camp for the last four months. Cindy’s boot camp has put me in better shape now at age 33 than I was in my twenties! What I really love about Cindy’s camp is the personal attention you receive. Cindy keeps her classes between 8-14 people so that she can concentrate on each person’s form and flexibility. She follows up with all of her clients on eating habits, stretching and reaching goals. I’ve met some great folks in class and we all help keep each other energized and motivated – the commaraderie is absolutely amazing! I love Cindy Lai’s Bootcamp! I have been going ever since she started her outdoor bootcamp in May and I have gone every week since! I love being outdoors and I love how much Cindy mixes up the workouts. I have certainly been whipped into shape and I have so much fun doing it! She gives very individual attention (unlike other bootcamps) it has the feeling of a private training session. Cindy Lai’s bootcamp is addictive! I’ve been taking Cindy’s bootcamp classes since the Spring — I’ve seen great results, and I’ve never had so much fun working out! Cindy always incorporates new exercises so the workouts never get boring and your body is constantly challenged. I also love Cindy’s emails and blog postings about fitness and nutrition.
